The Rating Office has had very busy year, hence I have not had time to write anything since the beginning of the year, my apologies!

GBR IRC Committee:

This newly formed Committee held it's inaugural meeting in Southampton on 24^th September. With some new members, and many who served on the previous IRC Council, it was a lively and successful meeting. You can find the minutes of the meeting on our website.

IRC Congress:

With the acceptance of IRC as an International Rule, we now have an International IRC Congress which is made up from representatives worldwide. The inaugural meeting was held in London last Friday 1^st October, and the minutes will be published on our website in the next day or two.

IRC in the Republic of Ireland:

Some important information for those of you based in Ireland is that as from January 2005 the Irish Sailing Association will be taking over the administration of IRC paperwork for all Irish boats. This follows the pattern of other overseas IRC representative authorities around the world. The IRC ratings will still be processed by RORC in the same way, but you will receive your forms and certificates from ISA rather than direct from us, and all correspondence will go through them. We are in the process of sending out a letter to all Irish 2004 IRC certificate holders with more information, you can also find a copy this on our website.
